- Teddy Bear English's classroom path is used with a single computer and a projector or large screen TV so all students see the presentation. The teacher controls the interaction as the entire class participates.
- Teddy Bear is a Teacher's Assistant and interacts with both teacher and students. Teddy "knows" where the teacher stands and looks at the teacher when speaking to her/him. Teddy also "knows" if it is morning, afternoon, or evening along with other information about the class. He even "knows" when a student has a birthday.
- This is the most comprehensive multimedia English program available. Lessons include vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation. Each lesson features a song to reinforce vocabulary. Lessons also include a Game Room with games and activities to reinforce the lesson contents.
- The program can be effectively used by classroom teachers with limited English teaching skills. A teacher's guide comes with the
program. On-line Teacher Training is available from California
State University. In some countries, a special training session can be arranged through Teddy Bear English's local distributor.
- Unlike the conventional 2-way interactive multimedia program, Teddy Bear English's 3-way interaction greatly enhances the teacher's role in the classroom. The program serves as a teacher's assistant and not a replacement for the classroom teacher. The program is totally "teacher
friendly."
- The program's classroom path includes a Teacher's Toolbox, which has a test section
and teacher's notes for each lesson. On request Teddy gives quizzes and tests to measure student comprehension. Students answer the multiple choice questions on an answer sheet which the teacher grades. If asked, Teddy will grade the tests in class.
